Two weeks ago our class was taught how to make text drawings, they can finally be put up and these were the ones I ended up making.
I made this pattern from the phrase and font I made. For whatever reason my first image, the phrase, won't load, so I'll try that again later. It's made from all h's.
This next image I made out of i's, it's a flower.
My next image I had A LOT of help on, my friend didn't like my original text drawing so they did some major editing. (Although I still think my original image wasn't as bad as he says.) In case you couldn't tell, it's a buggy.
My next image which was totally all mine is of an Indian Man. I really wanted to make something more complex and cool like my friend had done, only instead I made this.
It's a tad more goofy.

Tuesday Lecture
Today's lecture was continuing the discussion about possible majors for next year. Graphic Design was discussed, and it included specifically GAID and Printmaking. Both were very interesting, the GAID portion showed us some projects they usually do including packaging designs and labels, and some interactive design videos. The printmaking portion also discussed design, and specifically the types of prints. We were showed woodblock prints and etchings, very interesting and well done.

Drawing Critiques
Yesterday my drawing class had its first critique for the spring semester. It was actually pretty interesting, I always like seeing the drawing styles of the kids in my classes. It's cool to see how different everyone is. There was also a required reading for this project, an excerpt from Mr. Wilson's Cabinet of Wonder. For most of the people in class who did read the passage it was pretty confusing. It was supposedly about a museum of different odd things, some were real and some were fake. But Mr. Wilson, no matter what, would act like everything in his museum was legitimate. It was supposed to be a comparison to when our class visited the Wagner Institute of Science. It's an out of date museum filled with taxidermy animals and shells and rocks and fossils. It was an interesting trip, as well as an interesting assignment.
